RE: RV Storage

Thanks for your replies. It seems that covered indoor storage with electricity for me is about 130 miles away one-way in Pennsylvania. I do not want to go that far. I have researched some places in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia also and the rates are reasonable. I'll now just have to visit them to see for myself, and also taking into consideration what you have conveyed. Godspeed!!

RV Storage

For those of you who have stored your Class A motorhome in an inside or outside storage facility, what have been your experiences, good or bad? How far away is the motorhome stored from your home? How do you handle keeping the batteries charged? What about running the generator once a month? Thanks in advance for your answers and any sage advice you may be able to offer.

RE: What is dangers of buying a old motorhome bus?

The RV in the picture looks like a Bluebird which was well made. You will not find any fiberglass, that's for sure and it probably is "roll-over" safe. May I suggest you really take a look at its exterior and interior using a checklist. Once that is complete, hire an RV inspector that may be able to evaluate the coach and chassis. Best of luck!

RE: using water pump & "city water" together

First time responder, new to the site. Can the pressure regulator be at the inlet at motor home instead of at city water source It can be anywhere in the line, however, if it is not on the spiggot, your white hose will not be protected. It can swell, especially if it is direct hot sunlight. Once it stretches out, it loses its wall strength and will eventually split. Bob I agree with this response. You only want to put the water pressure regulator on the city water spigot.

RE: Oil, filter changes DP

May I suggest that you take it in to a qualified service center and have them to perform the work. It's just too dangerous especially without the proper supports.

RE: Pro's and Con's of selling MH on consignment.

Have you thought about PPL Motorhomes in Texas? This RV dealership only sells consignment RVs? Their website is below. www.pplmotorhomes.com

RE: They got my power cord

I'm sorry to hear of the "missing" power cord. Some other posters were correct when they mentioned copper thieves at work. I know that next time, you will ensure that a theft of your power cord will not happen.

RE: Escapees RV Club

Thanks again everyone. Your responses have been very informative and have given me a perspective from those who are members and those who are non-members. It's extremely helpful when you post a question and receive responses from real world users of an organization or product. GODSPEED to all!!!!

RE: Rving- Financial Aspects and Worries.

I have read some interesting posts on this subject and decided to respond in general. There are probably some of us who making both TV and RV monthly payments, and there are others who are debt free. If you are, I applaud you. However, I know that when I decide to purchase an RV, be it a Class A, C or Fifth Wheel and TV, I will be definitely financing the purchase. Of course, this is my personal choice and respectfully, I am not concerned about anyone's opinions but the DW.

Escapees RV Club

I am submitting an inquiry about the Escapees RV Club, and would like to know if anyone would be willing to share your experiences with this organization, if a member of course, as to what your impressions are and if it is worth the annual fee. Thanks in advance and GODSPEED! :)

RE: Securing motorycycle

I use a LA Chalk from Baxley Trailer in Dothan, Al. I've used this system since 2000 and never had any problems. I've used the Baxley LA Chock as well and it secures the front tire and wheel firmly. You may want to consider the LA Trailer Chock that is designed to fit inside trailers. The difference is that it has shorter width legs up front and back to provide more side-to-side space.

2008 Ford F-450

Greetings to everyone, I am asking if anyone drives the new Ford F-450 and what are your assessments in terms of dependability. I have researched alot about this truck in terms of its fuel mileage and the fact that if there are any major engine problems, that the whole cab would have to be removed to work on it. I would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to share his/her evaluation, both good and bad. Thanks in advance!!!!

RE: We just did it A new Fifth Wheel

Congratulations on the new purchase!! It is hoped you have many safe and pleasant travels. By the way, you should double check to make sure your tow vehicle can handle the 5er. Please take your time while driving and look out for the reckless.
